Truth Behind Andrew's Bruised Face Revealed

The truth behind Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor's bruised face has been revealed as the disgraced royal was pictured for the first time in weeks. The former Duke of York was recently photographed sporting a large purple mark on the right side of his cheek.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been pictured for the first time in weeks with what appears to be a large bruise on his face. The former Duke of York, who is currently being investigated after being mentioned multiple times in the Department of Justice's Epstein Files, has been keeping a low profile lately after withdrawing from public life.

However, the 66-year-old was photographed on Thursday while being driven in his Land Rover near his Marsh Farm home on the King's estate in Norfolk, accompanied by a man and a dog. Notably, Andrew sported a large purple mark stretching from his temple to his cheek in the picture, as well as a worried expression.

While it is not known how the disgraced royal obtained the large bruise on his face, a well-placed source told Daily Mail that it is not a "cause for concern" and there is "no drama" behind the discolouration. The insider reportedly declined to offer further details on account of medical confidentiality.

A separate report published by The Times claims that the bruise "is thought to be the result of a non-serious medical condition." The ex-Prince was last seen publicly two weeks ago and, according to Hello!, did not have the mark on his face.

Last month, police announced that they were launching an investigation into Andrew over potential sexual offences. Thames Valley Police detectives revealed that they were broadening their probe into the former Duke of York's time in public office to consider other offences that he was accused of in the Epstein Files, including abuse of position, sexual misconduct and corruption.

Furthermore, officials are investigating the former Duke of York over reports of an incident that occurred at Royal Ascot in 2002, The Sunday Times reports. The royal has been accused of inappropriate behaviour towards a woman, who has now been identified as a waitress who was working during Queen Elizabeth II's Golden Jubilee year.

It comes nearly four months after the former prince was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office and held in a police station for 12 hours on his 66th birthday. Andrew continues to deny any wrongdoing.
