Prince Harry has reportedly not been invited to the wedding of his cousin Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling this weekend. The Duke of Sussex, 41, was left off the guest list for the ceremony on June 6, according to royal expert Emily Nash.
The Wedding Details
Peter Phillips, Princess Anne's son, will marry nurse Harriet Sperling at All Saints Church in the Cotswolds village of Kemble, near the Princess Royal's Gatcombe Park estate. Key members of the Royal Family are expected to attend, including King Charles, Queen Camilla, and the Prince and Princess of Wales. Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie are also on the guest list, while their father, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, has also been snubbed.
Why Harry Was Not Invited
Royal expert Emily Nash believes the decision was intentional. She told Page Six that Peter has not been in contact with Harry for the last few years, while he remains very close to Prince William. 'It sort of has been a natural cooling off and [Harry] wasn't invited as a result,' Nash said. She added that Peter is 'very loyal' and 'very protective' of William, and has been a good sounding board to his cousin over the years.
Nash also suggested that having both Wales brothers at the wedding would have been a distraction. 'It would have put a completely different slant on the whole event,' she explained. 'There have been enough distractions from the good things about the Royal Family over the past year. Hopefully, they can just have this one day to come together and celebrate someone's happy news for a change.'
About Peter Phillips
Peter is the eldest child of Princess Anne and Mark Phillips, and 19th in line to the throne. This is his second wedding; he was previously married to Canadian-born Autumn Phillips from 2008 until their amicable split in 2019. They have two daughters, Savannah, 15, and Isla, 14.
Harriet Sperling, 45, has also been married before, to fitness instructor Antonio St John Sperling, with whom she shares a teenage daughter named Georgina. Peter and Harriet made their relationship public at the Badminton Horse Trials in May 2024, and announced their engagement in August 2025. The wedding ceremony will be a private affair, as confirmed by a spokesperson in April.
