Erika Kirk Silences Heckler with Grace at Summit

Erika Kirk has delivered a brutal put-down to a heckler who interrupted her address at a Turning Point USA summit on Friday. The widow of slain MAGA figurehead Charlie Kirk gave a 17-minute speech at the summit, which was focused on women’s leadership, but was interrupted about 11 minutes in when a heckler accused her of protecting pedophiles.

“Erika Kirk protects pedophiles,” the person shouted a number of times. Ms Kirk, who now runs Turning Point USA, winced as the crowd called on the rogue attendee to “go away” and “get out of here” before booing the heckler.

Ms Kirk received a standing ovation. The widow took a few moments to compose herself before launching into a searing rebuke. “It’s important to remember that happiness comes and goes and I pray that you find it,” she quipped.

The crowd erupted into a round of applause and a standing ovation. Ms Kirk, at this stage visibly irritated, said: “That just showed duty to faithfulness gives life meaning. And we must pray for our enemies and those that do not feel like their life has meaning. And that’s a perfect example of that.”

Ms Kirk’s address was centred around faith and conservative values. She also spoke of her children in the wake of her husband’s death. “There will be a day 10 to 15 years from now when my children will look back on this season of life that us three are going through,” she said. “They will see how the world talked about their father, their mother and even themselves. They will be able to read every headline... and my prayer is their focus isn’t on all that noise, but rather on how their mother showed up and how she handled it.”

Turning Point USA has yet to respond to comment on the heckler.
