Max Davidson, an 11-year-old from Loganholme, Queensland, has turned his knack for cleaning cars into a thriving business that is funding his sailing ambitions. Since launching Prime Finish Detailing seven months ago, the budding entrepreneur has lost count of the vehicles he has detailed, but his motivation remains clear.
From Car Cleaning to Sailing Dreams
“I do the windows, the windscreen, the tyres, I blacken the tyres, I wash the tyres, I wash the entire car,” Max explained. His business began with a simple marketing strategy: his mother posted videos of his work on Facebook, quickly attracting customers.
Max’s ultimate goal is to compete in the Sydney to Hobart yacht race by the time he turns 18. “I didn’t want to be a freeloader so I basically decided that I would pay for it myself,” he said. He has already saved enough to buy his own boat.
Work Ethic Beyond His Years
Max tackles the jobs many avoid, showing a work ethic that impresses adults. “I get all the rubbish out, all sorts, clean, bird poo off, bat poo off, dog poo off,” he said. His dedication is fueling his passion for sailing, a sport he loves deeply.
“The ultimate goal is to do a Sydney to Hobart,” Max stated, looking ahead to the prestigious race. For now, he continues to build his business one car at a time, proving that age is no barrier to entrepreneurship.
