TV host Lynette Bolton has provided an update on her ongoing battle with breast cancer, revealing that doctors successfully removed a tumour from her breast during a recent surgical procedure. The wife of Sydney Swans player Jude Bolton has been documenting her cancer journey on social media over the past six months, following her diagnosis in December last year.
Lumpectomy Completed
“Lumpectomy done,” she announced. “Now we play the waiting game waiting on the official pathology results.” The surgery marks a significant step in her treatment plan, which began with chemotherapy just six days before Christmas last year, after she discovered a lump on her right breast.
A Public Journey
Ms Bolton, known for her appearances on television series such as Dancing with the Stars, WAG Nation, Oz Travel, and Sydney Weekender, has been open about her experience. She previously shared the intensity of her initial treatment, stating: “Countless doctor appointments, mammograms, ultrasounds, biopsies, MRIs, blood tests, breast surgeon and oncology appts later (even a day surgery) AND today I kicked off the first of 12-24 weekly rounds of immunotherapy and chemo. It’s happened fast. Really bloody fast.”
Support from Family and Friends
Her husband, Jude Bolton, expressed his pride in her resilience, posting: “So proud of the way you’re still smiling throughout this sh---y experience. You have so much support and love behind you.” The couple received an outpouring of love and encouragement from fans and fellow celebrities.
Messages of Encouragement
Sports commentator Hamish McLachlan wrote: “Super woman. Super husband. Super family. Super people. Love to you all. You will get through it together.” TV host Kylie Gillies called her a “Warrior woman,” while Australian cricketer Cameron Merchant sent love, describing her as “Legendary.” Journalist Jodie Speers added: “That’s Lynette, always a smiler.”
The Bolton family continues to receive widespread support as Lynette focuses on recovery and awaits the pathology results that will guide her next steps in the fight against breast cancer.
