World's Biggest Jumping Castle to Bounce into Canberra

The world's largest jumping castle is set to arrive in Canberra in March as part of a massive inflatable event known as The Big Bounce Australia. The 10-metre-high castle covers over 1,500 square metres and is just one attraction in a 15,000-square-metre inflatable city.

Other highlights include a 300-metre-long obstacle course, slides, ball pits, a maze, and climbing walls. The event will run for three days from March 4 to 6, with the exact venue to be announced in the coming weeks.

Co-founder Cameron Craig said the idea for the giant jumping castle came from watching bored parents at a UK music festival. The Big Bounce now tours globally and holds a Guinness World Record for the largest inflatable castle, set in 2018 with a structure measuring 1,062.252 square metres.

The Australian tour also includes Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, Newcastle, Sydney, and Perth. Tickets for the Canberra event are already on sale, with timed sessions for toddlers, older children, and adults. Children under three must be accompanied by a paying adult.

Craig noted the enthusiastic response from the Canberra community as the city emerges from lockdown, saying people are eager to enjoy outdoor entertainment with friends and family again.
