The winter chill has made it harder for Australians to stay motivated for exercise, but many are turning to the fitness app KIC for support. Founded by Laura Henshaw and Steph Claire Smith, KIC has built a community of over 2.5 million people, offering on-demand workouts and expert-led programs.
Mid-Year Sale and New Challenge
KIC has launched its biggest mid-year sale, with three months for $49 or 12 months for $99, representing up to 30 per cent off regular membership prices. The sale runs until July 26. Alongside the sale, the app introduces a two-week program called "Progress. Not Perfection," designed to help women feel the difference in their bodies and minds.
Pressure-Free Approach
In a world of 'all or nothing' fitness programs, KIC offers a refreshing, pressure-free approach. The Progress Challenge, starting July 20, allows members to choose from three challenges: Progress with Pilates (trainer Kika), Progress with Strength (trainer Danny), or Progress with Prenatal Pilates (trainer Christina). Each challenge runs for two weeks, with three sessions per week and workouts ranging from 10 to 20 minutes.
Building Consistent Habits
The program focuses on building consistent, realistic movement habits that fit into busy routines, offering an alternative to fad diets and quick transformations. According to the founders, the goal is to help women feel good when exercising, without overhauling their lives.
Additional Options
KIC also offers five different challenges catering to all fitness levels, ages, and goals, including gym sessions and a 5k running program guided by Laura. The app automatically tracks progress and adjusts programs as needed.
