Marketing consultant Tiana Whetnall has launched a new creative studio in Bellambi, Illawarra, after struggling to find a local podcast recording space. Frustrated by the lack of options, she decided to build her own facility, named Casa Sociale.
Ms Whetnall, who runs a marketing agency, said she wanted to avoid traveling to Sydney for podcast recording. 'There's clearly a bit of a gap down here,' she said, adding that her husband encouraged her to create a content studio alongside her agency work.
Within a week of deciding to proceed, Ms Whetnall signed a lease for a warehouse in Bellambi. She has been documenting the fit-out on Instagram, using polls and behind-the-scenes content to engage followers. 'If you can tell a story, you get people involved,' she said.
The studio aims to serve business owners, creators, and brands, offering space for podcasting and short-form content. Ms Whetnall hopes to open in the coming weeks, pending final preparations. 'I'm so excited for people to use it,' she said.
