This outage follows a similar event last month, where more than 2300 properties in Wollongong experienced power loss due to an underground fault that damaged powerlines.
Separate Blackout Near Saddleback Mountain
In addition to the Bulli and Woonona outage, a separate blackout has impacted eighteen properties near Saddleback Mountain, south of Jamberoo. This incident began shortly before 7.15am, with power expected to return by 12.30pm. Similar to the larger outage, the cause of this disruption is also under investigation, highlighting ongoing challenges in the region's power infrastructure.

Endeavour Energy has issued important safety guidelines for customers affected by the outages:

- Residents are advised to keep fridge and freezer doors closed to maintain cool temperatures. Food in a refrigerator can stay cold for up to four hours, while items in a freezer may last between 24 to 48 hours without power.
