A 16-year-old boy was airlifted to hospital after falling several metres from a cliff in Sydney's east on Friday afternoon.
Emergency Response
NSW Police, Fire and Rescue, five NSW Ambulance crews, and the Toll NSW Ambulance Rescue Helicopter responded to the scene at Queenscliff Headland. The teenager had been scaling the cliff face with a friend when he lost his footing, according to emergency services.
He fell between five and eight metres, landing heavily on the rock platform. The teen hit his head during the fall, and paramedics treated a laceration while assessing other minor injuries.
Hospital Transport
The boy was transported to hospital in a stable condition. The incident highlights the risks of cliff climbing, with authorities reminding the public to exercise caution near coastal cliffs.
