Two people have sustained injuries following a multi-vehicle collision that left a car overturned on a major highway in Sydney's southwest.
Emergency services responded to the intersection of Joseph Street (Cumberland Highway) and Gilbert Street in Cabramatta around 3:15 PM on Wednesday.
7NEWS helicopter footage captured a black car lying on its side beside the roadway after the crash, with multiple ambulances and emergency crews working at the scene.
Paramedics and other emergency personnel were observed treating patients, with privacy screens set up on the road.
All southbound lanes of the Cumberland Highway have been closed between John Street and Cabramatta Road West.
Motorists are urged to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.
