Two Arrested Over Sydney Grandfather's Mistaken Kidnapping Murder

New South Wales police have arrested two men in connection with the alleged murder of 85-year-old Sydney grandfather Chris Baghsarian, who was mistakenly kidnapped from his home in February.

Arrests Made in Western Sydney

On Tuesday morning, police executed a search warrant in Shalvey, in Sydney's west, where they arrested a 19-year-old man. A short time later, another man was arrested in Silverwater. Both individuals have been charged with murder following the death of Mr. Baghsarian.

Police allege that the elderly man was the victim of a mistaken kidnapping, targeted in error by his captors. The two suspects were refused bail and are scheduled to appear before a local court on Wednesday.

Ongoing Investigation

Four other people have previously been charged in connection with Mr. Baghsarian's death and remain before the courts. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities continuing to gather evidence and explore all leads related to the case.
