Two men have been hospitalised with stab wounds after a violent brawl erupted at a party in Sydney's south west overnight. Emergency services were called to a home on Zephyr Street in Austral just after midnight following reports of an assault.
Details of the Incident
Around 100 people were gathered at the property when the incident unfolded. However, when police arrived, the two injured men had already left the scene. A short time later, officers located one man in a vehicle on Browns Road, Austral, suffering stab wounds to his torso. At the same time, police responding to Fletcher Street in nearby Middleton Grange found a second man in a separate vehicle with stab wounds to his thigh.
Victims and Medical Response
The men, who are both believed to be in their 20s, were treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital in a stable condition. According to police, both victims are expected to recover from their injuries.
Investigation Underway
Police have established multiple crime scenes and are investigating what led to the confrontation. A police spokesperson stated, 'We are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage from the area to come forward.'
