Teen Charged with Murder After Stabbing Death

A 16-year-old boy has been charged with murder after a 15-year-old boy was fatally stabbed in Craigieburn, north Melbourne, on Wednesday evening.

Incident Details

The victim was found outside a medical centre on Lygon Drive about 7:50pm by a staff member. He had suffered stab wounds and died at the scene despite first responders' efforts. A burnt-out car was located nearby later that evening.

Arrests and Charges

Police arrested the 16-year-old and a 20-year-old man on Thursday morning. The teen was charged with murder and is set to appear in a children's court at a later date. The man was charged with criminal damage by fire and granted bail, to appear before Broadmeadows Magistrates' Court.

A 15-year-old girl was also arrested on Thursday, charged with affray and stealing a car. She was granted bail and will appear in a children's court. Another 15-year-old boy was arrested on Friday morning and is being interviewed.
