A multi-suburb manhunt is underway in Melbourne after a driver allegedly rammed his car into a suburban home and stabbed a woman inside, just hours after attacking another man.
First Attack in Epping
Police say the first incident occurred at a property on Bradman Tce in Epping at approximately 7:30am on Sunday. A man was stabbed and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Second Attack in Dandenong North
Less than three hours later, the situation escalated dramatically. A silver Honda CRV wagon was intentionally driven into the front of an Exner St home in Dandenong North. After the crash, police allege the male driver exited the wreckage, entered the home, and stabbed a female occupant. He then fled the scene on foot before emergency services arrived.
Paramedics treated the woman at the property and transported her to the hospital. Her injuries are also considered non-life-threatening.
Police Investigation
Victoria Police believe both stabbings were targeted attacks, confirming that the suspect is known to both victims. A major search is now active for the offender, who remains at large.
The suspect is described as being African in appearance and was last seen wearing a brown shirt and black pants.
Public Warning
Authorities have warned members of the public not to approach the suspect under any circumstances. Anyone who spots him is urged to call triple-0 immediately. Information, video footage, or witness accounts can also be logged anonymously via Crime Stoppers.
