Man Charged with Attempted Murder After Car Hits Pedestrians

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a vehicle struck pedestrians on a busy west London road. Timir Ahmed Mohamed, 34, faces five counts of attempted murder, along with charges of dangerous driving, failing to stop, failing to provide a breath specimen, and criminal damage, according to the Metropolitan police on Sunday.

Incident Details and Injuries

The alleged incident occurred on Ealing Broadway in Ealing at approximately 2:30pm on Saturday. Five pedestrians were injured in the collision. Two individuals received treatment at the scene, while three were taken to hospital. Hospital assessments confirmed that their injuries were non-life-threatening and non-life-changing.

Suspect and Legal Proceedings

Mohamed, a Somalia-born British man, has been remanded in custody. He is scheduled to appear at Willesden Magistrates Court on Monday. The Metropolitan police stated that initial inquiries were conducted by Counter-Terrorism Policing London, but the incident is not being treated as terrorism.
