Ulric Ulroan, a 34-year-old man from Anchorage, Alaska, has been charged with multiple counts of sexual assault, according to court documents filed on Tuesday. The charges stem from an incident that allegedly occurred on June 15, 2026, in a remote area near the city. Alaska State Troopers arrested Ulroan on June 20 after a week-long investigation.
Details of the Alleged Incident
The victim, a 28-year-old woman, reported that Ulroan abducted her from a parking lot in downtown Anchorage and drove her to a secluded location, where he sexually assaulted her over several hours. She managed to escape and flag down a motorist, who contacted authorities. Troopers located Ulroan's vehicle the next day and took him into custody without incident.
Charges and Legal Proceedings
Ulroan faces three counts of first-degree sexual assault, one count of kidnapping, and one count of assault in the third degree. He is being held at the Anchorage Correctional Complex on a $500,000 bail. His arraignment is scheduled for July 6. If convicted, he could face up to 99 years in prison.
Prosecutor's Statement
District Attorney Sarah Thompson said, “This was a violent and predatory act. We are committed to seeking justice for the victim and ensuring the community is safe from individuals like Mr. Ulroan.” The victim has been provided with counseling and support services through a local advocacy group.
