ACT Fire and Rescue responded to a car fire outside Westfield Belconnen on Friday evening, with no injuries reported and no threats to life or property, according to an ACT Emergency Services spokesman.
Vehicle Fully Alight on Benjamin Way
The fire was reported at approximately 5:40pm on July 3, 2026, involving a vehicle parked on Benjamin Way near the shopping centre. Firefighters arrived at 5:45pm to find the vehicle fully alight and worked to extinguish the flames until about 6:00pm.
No Injuries or Property Damage
An ACT Emergency Services spokesman confirmed to this masthead that there were no reports of injuries, threats to life, or damage to other property in the area. Footage captured by passers-by showed significant smoke billowing from the scene.
