The 57th annual NYC Pride march took place on 28 June, with the theme 'For All of Us' honoring the legacy of Marsha P Johnson, a key figure in the Stonewall uprising. Thousands of participants marched down Fifth Avenue from Midtown to Greenwich Village, passing the historic Stonewall Inn.
Attender Carlos Duarte said: 'It's very important for us to be here … all together for love, peace and to show the world who we are.' The grand marshals included Peppermint, the drag queen and activist, and comedian Bowen Yang, who also serves as a grand marshal. New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani also participated in the march.
Dyke March and Other Events
On 27 June, the 34th annual New York City Dyke March ran along Manhattan's Fifth Avenue and ended in Washington Square Park, drawing thousands of members of the LGBTQIA+ community. The march featured volunteers carrying rainbow balloons past the Flatiron building.
The Gays Against Guns group, a direct action organization founded in response to the 2016 Pulse Nightclub shooting that claimed 49 lives, also participated as grand marshals, nonviolently challenging gun violence.

In Nashville, Tennessee, a Pride parade took place on 27 June, with attendees celebrating their identities. In St Petersburg, Florida, 15-year-old Tyler Coyle turned around during the parade on Saturday, capturing a moment of youthful participation.
In Denver, Colorado, members of the Airheads of Colorado marched during the Pride Parade on Sunday, adding to the nationwide festivities.
