The New South Wales Blues delivered a commanding performance to defeat the Queensland Maroons 38-10 in State of Origin Game 2 at Suncorp Stadium, levelling the three-match series at 1-1.
First Half Dominance
The Blues came out firing, with Tom Trbojevic crossing for two tries in the opening 20 minutes. Nathan Cleary converted both and added a penalty goal to give NSW a 14-0 lead. Queensland responded with a try to Valentine Holmes, but Cleary's kicking kept the Blues ahead 16-6 at halftime.
Second Half Onslaught
NSW continued their dominance after the break. James Tedesco scored a brilliant individual try, followed by efforts from Josh Addo-Carr and Angus Crichton. Cleary's boot remained flawless, adding conversions and a field goal. Queensland managed a late consolation try through Harry Grant, but it was too little, too late.
