Mt Lawley Golf Club Dominates 2026 WA Golf Awards

Mt Lawley Golf Club has been named the best metropolitan golf course in Western Australia at the 2026 WA Golf Industry Awards. The private club on Walter Road won five categories at the ceremony held at Optus Stadium on Friday, March 27.

The almost 100-year-old club took out awards for metropolitan golf course of the year, most outstanding WA club, facility or place to play — metropolitan, WA environmental award, volunteer of the year (Tim McAuliffe), and course superintendent of the year (Rod Tatt).

The wins follow a milestone year for the club, marked by the completion of major renovations and its 11th time hosting the WA Open. City of Stirling mayor Mark Irwin praised the club's achievements, noting that the city is proud to be home to the metropolitan golf course of the year.
