Farmer Wants A Wife: Lily Exits After Kiss Drama, Warns Dylan About Ally
Farmer Wants A Wife: Lily Exits After Kiss Drama

On Sunday, wildlife vet tech Lily made a dramatic exit from Farmer Wants A Wife — but not before leaving Dylan with a warning about Ally.

After discovering Ally and the sheep farmer had shared a kiss during their double date, Lily confronted the pair at the dinner table. Before Dylan could announce which lady he had chosen to send home, drama erupted, with Lily telling Ally she had “crossed a line” by kissing Dylan behind her back.

“It tipped me over the edge,” Lily said.

Lily Stands by Her Decision

Speaking to 7NEWS.com.au, the 28-year-old from Queensland said she stands by her decision to leave and explained why she believes Ally cannot be trusted. Lily claims Ally and some of the other girls are “playing games.”

“A lot of the girls are playing games. I was the oldest one there on the farm, so it was difficult for me to deal with,” Lily said. “Like, what affected me wasn’t really the kiss itself. It was the fact that I was already questioning why I was there. Then watching someone else progress their connection while I was feeling, like, increasingly disconnected from the whole process just reinforced what I already knew.”

Lily said she had hoped the experience would lead to love after being single for a long time. However, being away from her family and her job ultimately proved too difficult.

Confrontation at the Dinner Table

She said she chose to confront Ally at the dinner table because she found her behaviour “childish.” “And if Dylan’s going to participate in that behaviour too, I don’t want anything to do with either of them,” Lily said. “But having said all that, my main reason for leaving was my job.”

Lily said she did not get the chance to clear the air with Dylan and Ally before leaving. “It happened pretty quick. The decision was made and then I was gone. I said everything I needed to say and I stand by it.”

But before getting into the car, Lily warned Dylan about Ally, claiming she was “sneaky.” According to Lily, Ally had been trying to take all of Dylan’s attention from the very beginning, both on and off camera. “No one can get any time with him,” Lily said. “Clearly you can see what she was doing and what game she was playing.”

Dylan’s Response

Dylan told 7NEWS.com.au he never intended to offend Lily and said his connection with Ally meant the kiss just “happened naturally.” While he understands why Lily was upset, he stands by his decision, saying he is ultimately on the show to find love and has to act on those feelings.

“I think she was completely valid in how she reacted,” Dylan said. “If I was in the same boat, if I was going for the same lady, I’d understand. But I think it’s one of those things. It’s a dating show we’re on to find our woman and you really got to build the connections. I think as much as Lily was valid, the way that she handled it could have been done better. Because at the end of the day, she kind of grilled Ally but it takes two people to kiss.”

Dylan also said that, aside from their brief conversation at the car, he did not get a chance to talk through what happened with Lily before she left. He admitted he could understand why Lily viewed Ally as “sneaky.”

“The girls were a lot closer with each other than they were with me,” Dylan said. “I understood that Lily was like, ‘If Ally’s sneaky on her friends, she could be sneaky on a partner.’ It certainly was one of those things that just like sat at the back of my head and I didn’t really know how to take it. It rocked me because Lily is a very down-to-earth lady and I don’t think she would say, ‘You shouldn’t trust this girl’ unless she really meant it. Initially, after I got back from the car, I was quite rattled. I was just like a bit upset about the way she left.”
