Adam Voges, one of the greatest figures in Western Australian cricket, has stepped down as head coach of the state team. He will remain as coach of the Perth Scorchers in the Big Bash League. Voges opened up about his decision to depart the state job while continuing with the Scorchers, citing a desire to focus on T20 coaching.
Voges has upcoming stints in Major League Cricket with the Seattle Orcas and in The Hundred with the Trent Rockets. He outlined his intent to concentrate on T20 coaching and his aspirations for future international coaching opportunities that may come his way.
Reflecting on Western Australia's recent dominance, Voges discussed where he thinks Cameron Green's future lies in the Australian Test team and which WA youngsters are likely to step up. He also noted how new coach Beau Casson differs from him.
