Cotton Hails 'Crazy' Comeback Win Over Wildcats as Greatest Ever

Bryce Cotton has declared Sunday's astonishing 21-point comeback victory over the Perth Wildcats as the greatest win of his career. The Adelaide 36ers trailed by 21 points in the third quarter and were still 16 points down with just over four minutes remaining, but stormed home to win 95-94 at RAC Arena.

Cotton, who played a pivotal role with 21 points and 12 assists, said the fourth quarter was a blur. 'To be honest with you, I have no memory of the fourth quarter. It was such a blur. I'm going to go home and probably just watch the fourth quarter over again. This was crazy. It's the wildest game I think I've ever been a part of in my life,' he said.

The 36ers guard, who won three championships with the Wildcats, made a three-pointer with about one minute remaining to cut the deficit to four points, then converted three free throws to reduce it to one point with 38 seconds left. Flynn Cameron then stepped up to seal the win for Adelaide.

Cotton said his role with the 36ers has allowed him to showcase his passing ability. 'The cool thing for me being with Adelaide is it allows me to utilise a skillset I've always had – my passing ability. I feel like for a long time it has been overlooked,' he said.

Adelaide coach Mike Wells praised Cotton's leadership. 'It's just been special to be able to give Bryce the ball and allow him to lead us. That's what he did tonight and that's why we won. I didn't know he could pass. He's one of the most unselfish superstars I've ever seen,' Wells said.

Wildcats coach John Rillie lamented missed opportunities. 'We had some opportunities to put the game away and we didn't do that. Then in the fourth quarter they made timely threes to keep themselves in the game and give themselves an opportunity,' he said.
