Police have released CCTV footage of a man they believe may have information about a violent home invasion in East Corrimal that left two people injured. The incident occurred when two men allegedly entered a unit and assaulted a 37-year-old woman and a 39-year-old man.
The woman suffered facial injuries and the man received head injuries, both requiring treatment at Wollongong Hospital. The intruders are accused of stealing two gold rings and a watch before fleeing on an e-bike.
Police have already arrested and charged Jason Lee Rees, then aged 42, in connection with the crime. He was convicted of special aggravated break and enter and sentenced to six years and two months' imprisonment.
The CCTV footage, released on Thursday, May 21, shows a man described as tall with a medium build, wearing navy shorts, a black Nike-brand hoody, a red hat, a black face mask, and black sunglasses at the time of the alleged offences.
