Perth's Southern Suburbs Lotto Winner Claims $2 Million Black Friday Jackpot
Perth Lotto player wins $2m Millionaire Medley prize

A fortunate resident from Perth's southern suburbs is celebrating a life-changing windfall after winning a massive $2 million prize in a special Lotto draw.

Doubled Delight for Solo Winner

The winning ticket was the sole entry to claim Wednesday evening's division one prize in the Millionaire Medley game. The jackpot was doubled from $1 million to $2 million as part of Lotterywest's Black Friday promotion, making the win even sweeter for the anonymous Sandgroper.

Lotterywest confirmed the life-altering ticket was purchased at The Lucky Charm Bull Creek kiosk. The newly-minted multi-millionaire wasted no time, arriving at the Lotterywest headquarters first thing on Thursday morning to collect their fortune.

Store Celebration After Long Wait

Onna Lawton, the owner of The Lucky Charm Bull Creek, expressed her excitement over selling the winning ticket. She has already decorated the store with balloons and signs to mark the occasion.

"It's so exciting and I'm very happy," Ms Lawton said. "We've had the store since 2019, and this is our first division one winning ticket so it's been a long time coming. It's amazing to know that someone has won a $2 million prize thanks to a ticket sold here, hopefully this is the first of many."

A Stellar End to the Year for WA Players

Lotterywest spokesperson Zoe Wender noted that Western Australian players have enjoyed remarkable success in recent months. October and November delivered a total of 18 division one prizes, including five wins in the Millionaire Medley game.

"We're already off to a great start for December," Ms Wender said. "A Lotto win at this time of year is bound to make for an extra special festive season."

This $2 million win follows closely on the heels of another significant prize, where a ticket sold in Palmyra secured $791,600 in the weekend's $6 million draw.

For those hoping to try their luck, tickets for Thursday night's $5 million Powerball draw are available online or in-store until 6pm.
