A woman has tragically lost her life following a single-vehicle crash on the Central Coast on Saturday morning.
Emergency Response on Ocean Street
Police and emergency services were called to Ocean Street at Budgewoi at approximately 9.15am on November 15. Upon arrival, they discovered a grey Toyota Corolla that had left the road and collided with a building.
Despite the best efforts of paramedics at the scene, the driver, believed to be a woman in her 30s, could not be saved and was pronounced dead at the location. Authorities have stated that she is yet to be formally identified.
Investigation Underway
The Crash Investigation Unit was notified of the incident. Officers from the Tuggerah Lakes Police District established a crime scene and have commenced a full investigation to determine the circumstances leading to the crash.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner, as is standard procedure in such incidents.
Appeal for Information
Police are urging anyone with information about the crash to come forward. They are particularly interested in speaking to witnesses or anyone who may have dashcam footage of the area around the time of the incident.
