The mother of an 11-year-old boy who died after being hit by a car while riding his scooter south of Perth has said she does not blame the driver and wants to meet them.
Michael Judge was knocked off his scooter as he left a friend's house on Mandurah Tce in Mandurah on April 6. His mother, Jaymie Zisson, ran to the scene and stayed with him as he was rushed to hospital.
Zisson thanked a local nurse and good Samaritans who tried to save her son. “There’s one nurse - I’d like to thank her very much because she was tired but she wouldn’t give up,” she told 7NEWS.
The grieving mother of four said she holds no hate towards the driver, describing the incident as “an accident”. “I’d like to just meet this person and have a talk,” she said.
Zisson recalled a sweet moment with her son on the last day of his life, when he offered her a lolly. She has set up an online fundraiser to help cover funeral costs, saying she has no savings.
