Christmas morning in Perth often means searching for a coffee fix when most cafes are closed. This year, several venues across the city will be open on December 25 to serve caffeine and treats.
In South Fremantle, a hole-in-the-wall institution will operate from 6am to 12.30pm, just an eight-minute walk from South Beach. Willing Coffee will offer takeaway coffee and croissants at two locations from 6.30am to 11.30am.
Kinky Lizard continues its tradition of opening on Christmas Day at multiple sites, including four in the city area. Folk and Merchant in Doubleview will serve healthy breakfast and lunch options from 7am to 12pm.
North of the river, French Riviera will provide takeaway coffee and Danish pastries from 8am to 12pm. Ol’ Buoy in Cottesloe, a coffee kiosk on the beach, will be open from 6am to 11am, ideal for an early swim given the predicted 38°C temperature.
3.8 Baysie will operate from 7am to 11am without a surcharge, offering takeaway, baked goods, sandwiches, and pre-ordered tart slices. In the Swan Valley, Caffeinate Coffee Co will open from 5am to 11am with acai bowls, baked goods, and Christmas cookies.
Note that some cafes may apply a public holiday surcharge to orders.
