The Ooni Halo Pro Spiral Mixer, priced at $1,099, sold out on the brand's Australian website in under six hours following its launch. The mixer also sold out at various retailers across the country, breaking local sales records and becoming Ooni's most successful product launch since entering the Australian market in 2022.
The Halo Pro features spiral mixing technology, previously found only in professional kitchens. Unlike traditional planetary mixers, the spiral mixer's hook and bowl revolve simultaneously around a breaker bar, creating a dual-action kneading system that builds stronger gluten strands. Independent third-party experts determined that the Halo Pro achieves better dough compared to a planetary at-home mixer.
The mixer has an intuitive digital interface with 58 adjustable speeds and a timer. Its removable seven-litre bowl can handle up to five kilograms of dough, enough for 20 pizzas or six loaves of bread. Accessories include a Spiral Dough Hook, patent-pending Removable Breaker Bar, Geared Whisk, and Flexible Beater.
Available in Polar White and Charcoal Grey, the mixer has a modern, minimalist design. A reviewer for 7NEWS tested the mixer and reported excellent results with pizza dough and focaccia, noting the mixer is quiet and capable of handling dough for a party of 12 people.
