A 24-year-old motorcyclist from Old Noarlunga has died following a collision with a truck on Main South Road at Hackham, south of Adelaide. Emergency services were called to the scene at about 3pm on Thursday after reports of a crash involving a Benelli motorcycle and a Fuso truck.

The rider, who was still on his L-plates, died at the scene despite the efforts of first responders. The truck driver, a 27-year-old man from Christies Beach, was taken to hospital for mandatory testing but was not injured.

Major Crash officers are investigating the incident and are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward. Main South Road was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
