Home and Away actress Juliet Godwin, who played Dr Bree Cameron, has announced her engagement to partner Sam Master. The couple shared the news on Tuesday with a photo taken in Pringle Bay, South Africa, showing Godwin's new ring.
Godwin captioned the post: “October, you were good to us. Here’s to forever, baby.” The couple met at a party four years ago, with Godwin telling Adelaide Now: “Sam couldn’t resist my awesome ’70s dance moves. I showed him how good I was at the sprinkler and the rest is history.”
The engagement came days before Godwin's final episode as Bree Cameron aired on Thursday night. Her character left Summer Bay after accepting a job with Doctors Without Borders, saying goodbye to ex-boyfriend Remi Carter, played by Adam Rowland.
In emotional scenes, Remi told Bree: “You changed my life. Without you, I never would have made it to this point.” Godwin had portrayed the character for three years since 2022.
Looking ahead, Home and Away will air a catastrophic season final in 2025, featuring a train derailment during a trip to a music festival. The disaster will leave several characters' fates uncertain in what is described as one of the most shocking events in the soap's 38-year history.
