NSW Police have charged a 46-year-old woman, an employee of an aged care facility in south-west Sydney, with the alleged sexual assault of seven elderly residents. The woman is accused of recording the abuse and sharing the videos with her 54-year-old partner.
The investigation began in March after the woman was accused of sexually assaulting multiple people. Detectives seized her phone and allegedly uncovered videos depicting sexual abuse against elderly patients at Carrington Care aged care facility in Grasmere. The assaults allegedly occurred between August 4 and August 27, 2024, involving five men and two women.
The woman has been charged with four counts of aggravated sexual assault, 11 counts of aggravated sexual touching, two counts of sexual touching, 13 counts of recording intimate image without consent, nine counts of distributing intimate image without consent, and four counts of possessing bestiality material. She was refused bail and is expected to appear in court on Monday.
Her partner was arrested on Wednesday at a home in Heckenberg and charged with four counts of possessing bestiality material and four counts of disseminating bestiality material. He faced Liverpool Local Court on Thursday and was granted bail.
Carrington Care's chief executive Mark Tutt said the provider was 'deeply shocked by the allegations' and confirmed the accused stopped working at the facility last November. He stated the organization is cooperating with police, contacting affected families, and providing counselling and support.
