A 23-year-old man has been charged with murder following the death of an eight-week-old infant in Perth's northern suburbs.
Western Australia Police confirmed that Homicide Squad and Child Abuse Detectives had been investigating an incident in Innaloo earlier this month where the baby sustained serious injuries.
The child died on Saturday, leading to the arrest of Eric Ronald Riley, also from Innaloo, who has been charged with murder.

Riley remains in custody and is due to appear in court again in June.
