Perth influencer Em Davies has shared her devastation after close friend Daniel 'Dan Dan' Sheard died unexpectedly in his sleep on November 19. The 33-year-old was the fiancé of Davies' best friend Temika Miller, with the couple sharing a three-month-old son named Crue.
In an emotional social media post, Davies described Sheard as 'the kind of dad, partner and friend people are lucky to experience even once in a lifetime.' She expressed heartache over losing him, calling him 'the purest, the funniest, most loving, generous person.' Davies, a mother herself, shared photos of holidays, weddings, and dinners the friends had enjoyed together.
Miller also paid tribute, saying the pair had 'a love so special it will outlive even the deepest pain of losing you.' She said her heart was broken but she was grateful for their son, who she said would carry on Sheard's legacy.
Several Australian influencers, including Nikki Westcott and Rahnee Bransby, have sent their condolences. Davies launched a GoFundMe page to help with funeral costs and financial pressures, setting a target of $16,000. At the time of writing, more than $12,000 had been raised.
The page, titled 'For Dan's final goodbye & his world, Temika and baby Crue,' described Sheard as 'the most loving, loyal, caring man, with a heart bigger than the world.' It noted that no mother should have to face such a loss and that the family would ensure Crue knows how incredible his father was.
