Leederville is set to become the hottest spot in town this month as Margaritaville returns with 'Australia's Spiciest Margarita' across two weekends. The event will take place on January 17-18 and January 24-25, spread across The Leederville Precinct's Garden, Servo, and Leederville Hotel venues.
The biannual event will feature cocktails, Mexican-inspired beers, and bites, with the salt-rimmed margarita as the hero. The headliner is the Marga-Reaper, a fiery cocktail created in collaboration with North Fremantle's Dingo Sauce Co. This limited edition hot sauce comes from the makers of two sauces featured on the viral YouTube show Hot Ones.
The same sauces that made celebrities like Justin Timberlake, Margot Robbie, and Will Ferrell cry on camera will be available in Leederville. Chef Leigh Nash of The Norfolk Hotel, who handcrafted the sauces Widowmaker and The Psycho, said he enjoys seeing the reactions. 'I love the reaction that people are crying and swearing and going, “Oh my god, what the hell have I just eaten?” In a good way,' he told PerthNow.
Margaritaville will host break-out events across both weekends, including Margaritaville Adventure, Buenas Tardes, Eterno Fiesta, and Margaritaville Laneway Dinner, catering to all spice levels and appetites.
