Kidman also shared a public Father's Day tribute to Urban on Sunday, as the US celebrates the occasion in June. Alongside a throwback picture of herself with her father, she posted an old photo of Urban with their two daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret. Kidman also has two children, Isabelle and Connor, with her first husband, actor Tom Cruise — although they were not mentioned in the post.

Kidman filed for divorce in Nashville, Tennessee, on September 30, with the date of separation listed as the same day. The reason for the break-up was cited as irreconcilable differences, reports said at the time. According to leaked divorce filings obtained by TMZ, Kidman is noted as the primary carer of the children. The actress did not seek child support from Urban, with the wealthy pair both listing their gross individual incomes as "exceeding $100,000 a month".

In a March interview, the Australian actress spoke about respect and gratitude when asked how she was coping following the separation and the toll it had taken. Speaking to Variety at the time, Kidman admitted last year was not her year. "I was quiet. I had other things going on," she said, seemingly referring to the divorce. "I was in my shell."
