Taylor Swift’s highly-anticipated wedding to Travis Kelce is drawing closer, but one former friend will reportedly not be on the guest list. Longtime pals like Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, and childhood best friend Abigail Anderson Berard are expected to attend, according to The U.S. Sun. However, sources at the Daily Mail have revealed that supermodel Karlie Kloss will not be present.
An insider claimed that Swift felt Kloss had less-than-genuine intentions toward their friendship. Additionally, Kloss’s association with Swift’s nemesis Scooter Braun has reportedly ended their bond. Braun purchased Swift’s former label Big Machine Records and sold the rights to her first six albums to Shamrock Capital despite her objections.
The source shared: “She wants to be surrounded by those who can genuinely share the love and meaning of the day, especially the people who have played important roles in her life for years. Obviously, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds will not be attending, and neither will Karlie Kloss. When it comes to Karlie, Taylor ultimately felt that the trust in the friendship had been broken.”
They continued: “She came to believe that Karlie’s intentions were not as genuine as she once thought, and that the friendship became more about proximity to Taylor’s fame than a real bond.”
Swift and Kloss became fast friends in 2013 and were often seen together in music videos, at concerts, and on the runway. However, their friendship faded over time, with Swift not attending Kloss’s 2019 wedding to Joshua Kushner. The Sun has contacted representatives for both stars for comment.
Swift and Kelce met in summer 2023 during her Eras Tour. Kelce attended one of her shows hoping to give her a friendship bracelet with his phone number. Though his plan didn’t unfold as expected, Swift’s mother Andrea encouraged her to connect with him. They got engaged in August 2025, announcing via Instagram: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
