Jennifer Lopez's Child Emme Adopts New Name Oskar Muñiz
JLo's Child Emme Now Goes by Oskar Muñiz

Jennifer Lopez's child Emme has apparently adopted a new name ahead of enrolling in college to study theatre and studio arts.

In a March post shared by an Instagram account dedicated to documenting the college decisions of graduating seniors from Windward School in Los Angeles, the 18-year-old was identified as "Oskar Muñiz" while revealing plans to attend college this fall.

The post featured a childhood photo alongside Oskar's future college logo and plans to study theatre and studio arts. The caption also tagged an Instagram account appearing to belong to Lopez and Marc Anthony's child.

The profile features a picture of the high school graduate with the name Oskar. The double male and transgender symbols are featured in the description of the bio, along with the name of their future college.

"Oskar to Sarah Lawrence!" the caption of the post read. "No more impromptu NYC trips because he'll be living there! Good thing it's only a few hours away from Stagedoor. Go gryphons!!! Congrats!!!"

The post was also "liked" by Jennifer Garner, who was previously married to Lopez's ex-husband Ben Affleck. Garner and Affleck share three children together.

The Let's Get Loud singer, 56, has not publicly addressed the apparent name change. A rep for Lopez did not immediately respond to Page Six's request for comment.

Earlier this week, Lopez attended Emme's graduation ceremony alongside her mother, Guadalupe Rodríguez, and Affleck's son, Samuel. Anthony, 57, did not appear to be present at the celebration. Lopez shares twins Max and Emme with Anthony, whom she was married to from 2004 to 2014.

As previously reported, the performer became emotional while discussing Emme and twin brother Max's recent high school graduation. "Don't talk about it because [I] start crying," Lopez joked during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! this week before admitting she had been "crying for two months" as the twins prepare to leave home.

The Hustlers star also shared that her twins will be going to different colleges, a choice she is "fine" with since she wants "them to be happy and go where they want to go and do what they want to do."
