Pop star Dua Lipa has married her actor fiancé Callum Turner in a secret London ceremony attended by just eight guests. The couple made it official over the weekend by exchanging vows at the Old Marylebone Town Hall, with only a few close friends and family in attendance.
In photos obtained by The Sun, the newlyweds emerged from the iconic venue looking happier than ever as their loved ones showered them with confetti while they made their way down the stairs. The happy couple tied the knot in a low-key, intimate London ceremony.
Lipa, 29, looked positively bridal in a white asymmetric satin skirt and matching blazer adorned with gold buttons by Schiaparelli couture, designed by Daniel Roseberry. She did not go the traditional route with a veil, instead opting for a white wide-brimmed hat which she wore over her long, loose dark hair. The bride accessorised with a statement necklace, red-bottom Christian Louboutin stilettos, and white gloves that clutched a casual bouquet of yellow and white flowers.
As for the groom, who has starred in films such as Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore and The Last Letter to Your Lover, he wore a double-breasted Ferragamo suit with a matching navy shirt and tie.
According to The Sun, the newlyweds left the venue in a black taxi while their small security team and group of guests departed in a green Land Rover. One passerby who saw the couple emerge from the town hall said the event was very low-key. “I just thought it was another wedding,” they told the outlet. A man attending another wedding at the venue said he “didn’t realise what was going on,” adding that “it was only a couple people.”
A staffer who worked at the registry office described the couple dressed in “really nice, really expensive outfits.” “There was her mother, grandmother, not a lot of guests, maybe seven or eight people,” they added. “It all happened very fast. In and out, job done.”
There will be nothing low-key about Lipa and Turner’s upcoming second wedding, believed to be a lavish three-day event in Sicily. The A-list couple are reportedly planning a star-studded bash on the Italian island, kicking off this Thursday local time. The guest list is said to include singers Charli XCX and Tove Lo, with talk that Sir Elton John, who Lipa collaborated with on the 2021 song Cold Heart, could perform at the ceremony. “They have rented out multiple huge venues for the multi-event extravaganza,” a source told The Sun.
The couple got engaged in December 2024 after just one year of dating. Lipa opened up about her upcoming nuptials in British Vogue last year. “I’ve never been someone who’s really thought about a wedding, or dreamt about what kind of bride I would be. All of a sudden I’m like, ‘Oh, what would I wear?’” she told the glossy. “This decision to grow old together, to see a life and just be best friends forever – it’s a really special feeling.”
She also gushed about her custom-made engagement ring – an unconventional, chunky “cigar band” set in yellow gold with a reported 3-carat diamond, which The Sun estimated to cost £25,000 ($35,000). “I’m obsessed with it. It’s so me,” she said. “It’s nice to know the person that you’re going to spend the rest of your life with knows you very well.”
