Perth Mummy Blogger Constance Hall Opens Up About Vape Addiction Struggle
Constance Hall Reveals Vape Addiction Battle

Perth mummy blogger Constance Hall has publicly revealed her ongoing battle with vape addiction, reaching out to her followers for guidance on how to overcome the harmful habit. The popular influencer took to her Facebook page on Tuesday to share her story, admitting that despite previous attempts, she has been unable to quit.

“I shared on my stories that after getting online and bragging that (I’d) quit vaping a few years ago, I’m been hiding the fact that after 3 weeks I took it back up,” she posted. “I’ve tried everything, I’ve been away to stop countless times only to take it up again within 2-3 weeks, I’ve been hypnotised, that lasted 3 days, nothing works.”

A Tougher Battle Than Cigarettes

Constance revealed that she successfully quit smoking cigarettes at age 25, going cold turkey without relapse. However, she described giving up vaping as significantly more challenging, even compared to her partner Denim Cook’s experiences. “(Denim) reckons that apart from opiates (because of the physical dependency) vaping the hardest thing he’s ever tried to get off,” she said.

She also expressed empathy for the growing number of Australian teenagers struggling with vape addiction. “If this is what it’s (like for) us, adults who know the psychology behind addiction . . . (imagine) what’s it’s like for the teenagers and children that (vapes) are marketed towards who, on top of negotiating this addiction, would be f...ed.”

Alarming Statistics on Youth Vaping

According to the Alcohol and Drug Foundation, at least 30 per cent of high school students have used a vape, with numbers rising significantly. Vaping can lead to severe lung diseases, brain development impacts, mental health issues, cancer, and increased risk of seizures.

Seeking Community Support

Constance called on her followers for tips to break her addiction. “If anyone out there has successfully quit or knows someone who has and wants to share some words of wisdom — I’m not gonna lie I’m desperate,” she wrote.

The post was flooded with supportive comments. One follower shared, “I told myself I was going to see how long I could go without vaping. It took that sense of forever panic away. My vape is still in the drawer. I know it’s there if I need it. Nearly 6 months vape free.” Another suggested, “Nicotine patches. Takes craving away.” A third simply thanked her for sharing her vulnerable truth.
