MAG Welding Services, owned by Graeme and Jacqueline Taylor, has been named a finalist in the 2025 Canberra Region Local Business Awards in the Service and Trade category. Jacqueline Taylor is also a finalist for the Business Person of the Year award.
The business, operating since 1999, serves high-profile clients including the ACT Government. It is known for its urgent welding breakdown service, which does not incur extra charges. “If you need us urgently, we are there for you,” Jacqueline said.
MAG Welding Services offers repairs, modifications, and servicing for trailers, boats, heavy machinery, handrails, and various metals. It also installs Colorbond fences and gates. The team can weld mild steel, bronze, aluminium, brass, cast iron, stainless steel, and galvanised products.
Graeme Taylor highlighted the company’s comprehensive approach: “We are a one-stop shop. We have access to other trades such as auto electricians, sandblasters, powder coaters, galvanisers, and onsite installers.” He attributed their success to customer service and satisfaction, treating every job equally.
The recognition marks a proud moment for the Taylors. “It gives us satisfaction to see that all the hard work over the years is being recognised and rewarded,” Jacqueline said.
