A vehicle breakdown on Roe Highway northbound has caused significant peak hour congestion for commuters heading home on Wednesday afternoon. The incident occurred after the Great Eastern Highway bypass in Hazelmere and was reported by Main Roads at 4.01pm.
The left lane of Roe Highway has been blocked, resulting in heavy traffic congestion leading up to the site. Main Roads has advised motorists to drive with extreme caution when traveling in the area.
Another breakdown was reported on Tonkin Highway southbound at 4.22pm, located after the Great Eastern Highway turnoff in Redcliffe. This incident partially blocked the right lane but has since been cleared. However, traffic remains slow on approach, and motorists are advised to proceed with caution.
