Two fortunate Australians have become $3.1 million richer this weekend following Saturday evening’s Lotto draw. The two winners each claimed a life-changing $3,127,800.49 in the division one prize pool.
Western Australia Shines in Division Two
Luck smiled on Western Australia in division two, where three players from the state won a substantial $49,971.60 each. Additionally, 153 West Aussies took home $1,066.75 each thanks to division three wins.
Winning Numbers Revealed
The winning numbers for Saturday Lotto draw #4685 were 16, 31, 43, 12, 40, and 30. The supplementary numbers drawn were 25 and 26.
Mid West Grandmother Wins $50,000
The Saturday Lotto draw came just one day after a Mid West grandmother won $50,000 playing a Word Play game. The Geraldton woman, whose husband bought the ticket, decided to celebrate by taking her entire family to the Chinese restaurant where the couple had their first date.
It has become a ritual for the woman’s husband to buy a scratchie from Sunset News and Lotto, where he purchased the winning ticket. “He will go down to the newsagents to get the newspaper and the scratchies, and I’ll put a coffee on,” the woman said. “We are a bit competitive with each other as we will have a little win every now and then… I really won this time!”
