A 25-year-old man has been charged after allegedly slapping two boys at a childcare centre in Sydney's south. The incident occurred at a centre in Panania on Thursday at approximately 1pm, with police attending the scene on Friday following reports of the assault.
The victims, aged three and four, were allegedly struck in the face with an open hand by the man, who worked at the centre. Police arrested the suspect on Saturday morning at an address in Belmore and took him to Bankstown Police Station.
He has been charged with two counts of common assault and was refused bail. The man is scheduled to appear in the Bail Division Court on Sunday.
