Search efforts have been launched for a young girl who went missing after a boat was found empty and a man was discovered dead in the water in Sydney's Inner West.
Body Found Near Hen and Chicken Bay
The man's body was recovered near Hen and Chicken Bay in Abbotsford around 11:45 a.m. on Saturday. Police were informed that the man had been seen in a small boat with a child shortly before his body was found. The man has not yet been identified.
Authorities have deployed specialist resources to the area in a desperate attempt to locate the girl, believed to be about six or seven years old. She remains missing.
Police Investigation
Officers were observed inspecting a small boat with a sun cover that had been docked at a nearby jetty. The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.
