A 12-year-old girl has been hospitalised following an alleged domestic violence incident in Sydney's south-west, where she sustained a laceration to her face.
Incident Details
Emergency services responded to a home on Supply Avenue in Lurnea at approximately 10am on Sunday. Upon arrival, they discovered the injured girl along with two other individuals who had sustained minor injuries.
Paramedics from NSW Ambulance treated all three at the scene. The girl was subsequently transported to Westmead Children's Hospital in a stable condition.
Police Investigation
Officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command established a crime scene and have launched an investigation into the incident.
A 20-year-old man was taken into custody shortly after the incident and was transported to Liverpool Police Station.
Inquiries are ongoing as authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding the alleged domestic violence event.
