Cold winter weather calls for cosy weekends away, and many Australians are already heading to popular spots in the Southern Highlands. In a bid to escape Sydney for a few days, I recently packed up the car and headed to Bowral with my cockalier puppy, Soju, in tow. Along with his food, blankets, toys and even a Barbour jacket, I made a little extra room in the boot for a handy Jumbuk Travel Swag that doubles as a crate liner and comfy floor mat.
Crafted from super soft Australian wool, it can be folded and secured with Velcro fixings and even has two soft, cotton handles for easy carrying. As a much more spacious and efficient alternative to a big, bulky dog bed, it was either rolled up, lying flat near the fire, or lining the bottom of his crate for extra warmth. Soju is a big fan of his new travel swag.
About MiniJumbuk
MiniJumbuk has been crafting and creating Australian wool quilts, pillows and blankets for over 50 years, establishing themselves as one of the most loved bedding brands across the country. With endless rave reviews and hundreds of best-selling products, the newly launched pet collection is expected to fly off the shelves too. Featuring a range of dog beds and travel swags for our furry friends, each is made from the brand's signature wool bedding technology, which is soft, resilient, breathable and anti-allergenic. Best of all, the fabric regulates temperature, meaning it has the ability to stay cool in summer and cosy in winter.
The New Pet Range
Each of the dog beds is undeniably chic too. From gorgeous taupe colours to chocolate brown and black, there are three bed shapes to choose from, plus two swags. There are different sizes too, with a few styles available in medium and large (or even extra large). So whether you have a large golden retriever, a mini dachshund or a medium cockalier like myself, there is a bed or swag to suit your furry friend.

To celebrate the arrival in the major retailer, Sydney-siders with furry friends are in for a treat. The much-loved Forrester's pub, a Surry Hills local, is turning the Tuesday 'Yappy Hour' into an everyday experience throughout the whole of June. Think mini Yorkshire pudding for the pups, and dog-friendly kibble served with every adult meal, plus weekly giveaways of the new dog beds, it is set to become a popular pastime this winter. While you sit back and relax, your dog can too, in a cosy wool bed.
