I Tried the Viral 'Glass Skin' Device the Jenners Swear By

When it comes to high-tech skincare devices, targeted lines, and 'glass skin' beauty staples, one brand consistently stands out: Medicube. This renowned South Korean brand has become a household name in the beauty industry, and for good reason. Built on a clinically focused ethos rather than pure aesthetics, its products and formulas are clean and dermatologist-tested.

Medicube is one of the few brands that has successfully cut through the noise—especially across social platforms like TikTok and Instagram—earning enduring viral appeal and cult status among beauty aficionados, A-list celebrities, and K-pop idols. As a huge K-beauty enthusiast, I have always considered Medicube one of my favorite brands. With winter officially here, I thought it was the perfect time to share my thoughts on some of my favorite Medicube products that are my secret weapons to overcoming the 'winter uglies'.

My Top Pick: Medicube AGE-R Booster Pro

My top pick is the Medicube AGE-R Booster Pro, used by thousands of shoppers, along with Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner, and Hailey Bieber. This at-home facial device is a 6-in-1 do-it-all gadget that helps increase the efficacy of your skincare products and supports absorption, all while helping the face appear more defined. Talk about a workhorse! Keep reading for more of my thoughts on top Medicube products.

Medicube AGE-R Booster Pro, $255.70 (down from $550) at Amazon Australia

I have been using the Medicube AGE-R Booster Pro device for a few months, and all I have to say is wow. I know a lot of things can be gimmicky—especially if they go viral on social media—but this device has truly changed my skincare routine for the better. It is an incredibly versatile tool that combines the effects of four luxury beauty devices into one.

It has four modes:

  • Air Shot (teal) is best used on clean, dry skin. It uses electro-needle technology for a deep exfoliating effect to help refine pore appearance and support skincare absorption. It is recommended not to use this mode every day, so I use it every two to three days.
  • Booster (orange) is best used after Air Shot mode with a toner and serum (in this case, I use the PDRN Pink Peptide Serum). It uses electroporation technology to help skincare actives absorb more effectively into the skin.
  • Microcurrent (MC) (green) uses gentle electrical technology to help the face appear more refreshed and defined-looking. I go in with this mode after Booster and apply a thick layer of the PDRN Pink Collagen Capsule Cream, gliding the device in an inward and upward motion for the appearance of a lifted look.
  • Derma Shot (red) – After MC mode, I typically have leftover cream on my face, so I go in with this mode. It uses gentle electrical technology to help the skin appear smoother and facial contours more defined. I keep the strength at level 1 and slowly glide it across my face (similar to what I do with MC), but I pause for a few seconds over key facial points like my cheekbones, temples, brow bone, and the corner of my jaw.

In my experience, some of the modes may feel uncomfortable even on the lowest setting, and I did not see any immediate results. However, after consistent use, I have noticed a change in my skin—it looks healthier and more radiant, and my skin's overall texture feels smoother and firmer. Not to mention, my face looks more defined. So despite the high price tag, I believe it is worth the money, and the cost per use is justified. Just do not expect quick results because consistency is key!

This serum has been amazing for providing hydration and leaving my skin glass-like and plump. Formulated with key ingredients like PDRN, salmon collagen, and a blend of peptides, this popular buy helps skin appear more youthful and radiant. It has a lightweight, runny texture and absorbs into the skin quickly—without leaving a sticky or oily feeling. It is also incredibly gentle and works great with the Booster mode of the AGE-R Booster Pro device.

Medicube PDRN Pink Collagen Capsule Cream, $36.50 (down from $48) at Amazon Australia

Tried and Tested by Harriet Amurao, Senior Shopping Writer

I have heard a lot of praise for Medicube's capsule creams, and the PDRN Pink Collagen variant is definitely worth the hype. It is formulated with a concentrated blend of PDRN, peptides, hyaluronic acid, and niacinamide, along with pink capsules of hydrolyzed collagen—which provide deep hydration and leave the skin looking more firm and radiant. It is also cooling on the skin, an added bonus for soothing and calming irritated skin. The texture is that of a gel moisturizer, and the collagen capsules are creamy. I like to use it with the MC and Derma Shot modes of the AGE-R Booster Pro. I absolutely love this cream!

Medicube Collagen Night Wrapping Mask, $32.99 at Amazon Australia

Tried and Tested by Harriet Amurao, Senior Shopping Writer

You have probably seen your favorite beauty influencers rave about this viral mask, and all I have to say is they are not raving about it for no reason. It applies as a clear gel and dries down into a second skin-like film that is supposed to lock in all of the skincare you apply while you sleep. The formula is packed with collagen extract, hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, and ceramides. It is slightly sticky, so it can be a bit messy to apply and a little uncomfortable, but once it dries down, it is fine—and considering this mask is made to be worn overnight, that is a small price to pay. The next morning, without fail, my skin appears radiant and glass-skin-like.
