Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi have been spotted enjoying a European getaway with their celebrity pals Kris Jenner and Corey Gamble. DeGeneres, who recently ditched the US for a life in the UK countryside, looked loved up with her actress wife as the couple shared a kiss on their huge yacht. The happy couple have been together for 22 years. They first met in 2000 and officially began dating in 2004 before marrying four years later in August 2008.
DeGeneres was seen enjoying some downtime with Kardashian star Kris Jenner and her longtime boyfriend, Corey Gamble. DeGeneres and Jenner were seen lounging on the deck of the superyacht, keeping themselves shaded from the sunshine. DeGeneres was later spotted ditching the calm of the yacht for something more adventurous as she strapped herself to a jet ski and took to the waters.
The group enjoyed a peaceful holiday on a superyacht in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. The comedian and her wife, Rossi, were recently rumoured to have been planning on ditching the UK, but the reports have since been debunked. Last year, she told a crowd in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, that life “is just better” in the UK.
“We got here the day before the election and woke up to lots of texts from our friends with crying emojis, and I was like, ‘He got in’,” she said. “And we’re like, ‘We’re staying here’.”
“It’s clean. Everything here is just better - the way animals are treated, people are polite. I just love it here.”
“We moved here in November, which was not the ideal time, but I saw snow for the first time in my life. We love it here. Portia flew her horses here, and I have chickens, and we had sheep for about two weeks.”
Meanwhile, DeGeneres copped a serve from another talk show legend and fellow comic, Rosie O’Donnell, during a recent interview on the No Filter with Kate Langbroek podcast. Langbroek asked O’Donnell about her falling out with DeGeneres, something she’s been open about in the past.
O’Donnell explained that she’d considered the pair close friends – until she watched DeGeneres during a 2004 appearance on The Larry King Show.
“And he asked her, ‘What ever happened to Rosie O’Donnell? Her show went down the tubes,’” O’Donnell recalled. “And Ellen said, ‘I don’t know Rosie. We’re not friends.’ And that was one of the most painful things that ever happened to me in show business and my life. I couldn’t believe it.”
